Flow is a self-hosted productivity app. It is not a subscription service. The demo at flowproductivity.space exists purely so you can try it before deciding to get your own deployment. When you sign up here, you are using our shared infrastructure as a sandbox - nothing more. Please do not store sensitive, confidential, or personal data here. We may stop, reset, or take down this demo environment at any time and without notice, which means any data you store here could be lost. This is intentional - the demo is not meant to be used for real work. Once you have your own deployment on your own Vercel and Convex accounts, your data is entirely yours and we have no access to it whatsoever.
Flow is a self-hosted productivity app sold as a one-time purchase. The current setup fee is US$500, which covers customizing the app to your branding (logo and colors), deploying it on your own domain, and configuring the full stack on accounts you own. After that, it's yours to keep with no ongoing fees to us. You pay only what your cloud providers charge, and the recommended stack (GitHub, Vercel, Convex, <a href="/blog/cloudinary-review">Cloudinary</a>, and Resend) each has a generous free tier. The setup fee covers the standard branding and deployment described above; any additional features or deeper customization beyond this baseline are scoped and quoted separately, and agreed with you before any work begins. Pricing may change over time; the fee for your project is the one agreed at the time of purchase.
Keep your password safe. You're responsible for anything that happens under your account. If something looks wrong, use the contact form and we'll sort it out.
Use Flow for its intended purpose: managing your work and ideas. Don't try to break it, access other users' data, upload malicious files, or use it for anything illegal. That's it.
Anything you create in Flow is yours. We don't claim ownership over your notes, tasks, or captures. That said, on the shared trial instance, don't put anything in here you'd be upset about losing or someone else seeing. Note that Flow lets you share an individual note publicly through a link. A shared note becomes readable by anyone who has the link - it is a read-only view, so others cannot edit it, but you are responsible for what you choose to make public. You can turn sharing off at any time.
You can upload files and images in the trial - the feature works. However, uploads go to our shared <a href="/blog/cloudinary-review">Cloudinary</a> account. We strongly recommend against uploading anything sensitive, confidential, or private. If you want to include images in your notes or tasks, the safer option is to host the image yourself and paste the URL in. Upload at your own risk. Once you have your own deployment, uploads go to a <a href="/blog/cloudinary-review">Cloudinary</a> account you own and control - we have zero access to it.
If you work with us to get a customized version of Flow deployed on your own infrastructure, the specifics of that arrangement are agreed separately. The recommended stack is GitHub, Vercel, Convex, <a href="/blog/cloudinary-review">Cloudinary</a>, and Resend, but if you prefer a different setup (for example using Supabase in place of Convex) get in touch and we can discuss it - some alternatives are options we are actively exploring. Your own deployment is entirely under your control.
Flow is built on third-party platforms such as GitHub, Vercel, Convex, <a href="/blog/cloudinary-review">Cloudinary</a>, and Resend. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any partnership with these companies, and we do not control them. They are popular tools on the market that we use to build and run the stack. Their services, pricing, and free plans are governed by their own terms and can change at any time. If any of these platforms revises its free tier, changes its features, raises prices, or discontinues a service, that is outside our control, and Flow is not responsible for those changes or for any impact they have on your deployment.
With your own deployment you receive the full source code and are free to change it however you like - it's yours. Please be aware that once you modify the code yourself, we are not responsible for any data loss or disruption to the app's functionality that results from those changes. If you'd like us to make changes for you or help after a modification, get in touch and we can discuss it separately.
Flow is provided "as is". We're not liable for any data loss, downtime, or issues that come from using the trial. If something critical breaks, let us know and we'll do our best.
We may update these terms occasionally. If something significant changes, we'll note it with the updated date at the top. Continuing to use the service means you're okay with the current terms.
